I’d say the right side, although it’s all personal preference. I have my nose pierced on the left, but I think the right side is more flattering.
My sister has hers pierced on the left and she looks great. She also has a small hoop in her eyebrow which I’m sure is not for everyone, but it works for her.

It’s not normal, if it’s sticking out.
I have a nose piercing and I’ve had it for about a year now. For the first few months, it did stick out a little bit, but then it went back to normal and has stayed there ever since.
I suggest going back to the piercer who did your piercing and asking him/her about it. The reason why yours is sticking out is because the jewelry isn’t sitting properly on your nose. There are two reasons why this could happen:
1) The hole was too small (not big enough for the jewelry).
2) Your nose is too small (not wide enough).
It is normal for a nose piercing to stick out, especially when you first get it done.
The reason why it sticks out is because your body is trying to reject it. This is normal and will subside after some time.
Also, you should try not to touch or clean the piercing with your fingers. Use a paper towel or tissue instead to wipe off any discharge or blood from your nose piercing.
The piercer should have told you that it could be pushed back, but if they didn’t then you may want to go back and have them do it. The reason they don’t push them back is because they don’t want to tear the piercing. The piercing is healing, so if they push it back and tear it or break the jewelry, it will start hurting again and you’ll have to wait until it heals again before you can get another piercing.
But with that being said, I’ve seen people with their nose piercings stick out for months after getting them done. So I’m sure yours will eventually settle into the right position.
