I’m the guy on the right. My name is David Goggins and I was once a poster boy for excuses. I’m a former Navy SEAL turned ultra-distance runner who spent much of his life seeking comfort and making excuses. I grew up in an abusive household where, as a black man, I was taught that being tough meant hiding my emotions. And when my mother died in our living room, I saw my father cry for the first time ever.

Asprey claims that following his diet will help you lose a pound a day, boost your energy levels, reduce inflammation, and improve your memory, among other benefits. The diet is based on eating whole foods and avoiding processed foods and items that cause inflammation.
