Skinny BBL Surgery; The best candidates for BBL surgery are those who are in good health and at or near their ideal body weight. While BBL surgery can be used to remove excess fat from nearly any area of the body, the number of fat cells is limited. For this reason, more extreme weight loss after surgery is not recommended.
The best candidates for BBL procedures are in overall good health and have realistic expectations. The greatest amount of fat is typically harvested from the abdomen, flanks, and back. Many patients will also receive liposuction to other areas of the body such as the inner thighs, outer thighs, arms, neck, and calves.
Skinny BBL techniques differ slightly depending on your anatomy and aesthetic goals. Your board-certified plastic surgeon will discuss these options with you during your consultation.
Skinny BBL Surgery
The best candidates for a BBL are patients that do not have excess skin and do not want to undergo a tummy tuck. These patients usually already have a nice shape and just need more fat transferred to their buttocks and hips. This is especially true for very skinny patients that lack curves.
Dr. Cortes’s BBL technique, called The Brazilian Butt Lift by Dr. Cortes, is perfect for these skinny women because he performs liposuction of the abdomen, waist, back, flanks, and knees along with fat transfer to the buttocks and hips. This allows him to tailor the shape of the body in a very specific way so that the end result will be a perfect hourglass figure.
Skinny butt lift is a new cosmetic surgery procedure that uses your own fat transferred from unwanted areas of your body to create a beautiful and natural looking buttocks. The name “skinny” comes from the fact that this procedure is currently designed for those who do not have enough fat deposits in their bodies to perform the traditional BBL surgery, so they need to be skinny (but not too skinny) to qualify for this procedure.
The typical candidates for this procedure are people with low fat deposits in their bodies, despite the fact that they are trying hard to gain weight. Those with very low fat deposits include:
Those who have been working out intensely and eating right but still having trouble gaining weight
Those who have always been thin and have never had any problems with weight gain
Those who lost significant amounts of weight after bariatric surgery or through strict dieting
In general, a candidate must meet all of these criteria in order to qualify for this procedure:
Must be in good health
Must be at least 18 years old or over
Must have realistic expectations about the results of surgery
For those who qualify, there are many benefits associated with this new cosmetic surgery procedure
Dr. Cortes uses a technique called “fat grafting” to transfer fat from the patient’s body to areas of the buttocks where more fullness is desired. Fat grafting is not used alone for Brazilian Butt Lift patients, but rather in conjunction with liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, back and thighs.
The most important factor in determining whether a patient is a candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift is their ability to harvest enough fat during liposuction to provide the necessary volume of fat needed to achieve the desired results. The ideal candidate has enough fat in the donor areas that can be removed during liposuction and transferred to the buttocks. If there is not enough fat, implants may be recommended instead.
During the first week of your recovery, you should expect discomfort and swelling in the treated area. You will also have to wear a compression garment. Your surgeon will provide you with instructions on how to wear it.
Your surgeon may prescribe pain medication to alleviate any discomfort you may experience. It’s very important that you follow your surgeon’s instructions carefully. If he says you can do something, that doesn’t mean you can start doing it right away — it means when you get home and if you’re not in too much pain.
Once the compression garment is off, you can expect some bruising and swelling for about two weeks. After that, most people are able to resume their daily activities without any problems
Can You Get a BBL If Your Skinny?
Yes you can get a BBL if you are skinny. Depending on how skinny you are, and what the goal is, a fat transfer may not be possible. If this is the case, we can implant a gluteal augmentation device that was developed by Dr. Cortes, called the 4th Generation High Projection Gluteal Prosthesis HPG. This device is one of a kind and has been carefully designed to provide larger results with less invasiveness, less pain and less risk than previous generation devices.
This device is also one of a few devices that have been developed and designed by an actual board certified plastic surgeon. Other devices were designed by companies who hired engineers to create these devices and then hired plastic surgeons as consultants to help sell them. The problem with this method of development and design is that it doesn’t allow for input from experienced surgeons who actually perform these types of procedures every day. This leads to designs not being optimized for safety or longevity and being too large, which increases risk of complications like rotation or migration.
The design of my device takes all these factors into account and even allows for additional fat grafting on top of the implant after your body has healed from surgery to help further increase projection if desired!
When it comes to plastic surgery, and especially the butt lift, many people think that you have to be bigger in order for the procedure to work. This is simply not true as the BBL is a cosmetic procedure that can be performed on patients of all shapes and sizes. However, you will need to meet certain criteria in order to get approved for this procedure.
What is a BBL?
The Brazilian Butt Lift or BBL is a procedure that uses your own fat cells to sculpt and contour the buttocks. The technique involves removing fat from one area of your body through liposuction and then injecting it into your buttocks. The procedure can work on any size frame, but it does require some fat cells in order to perform the operation successfully.
Getting Approved for a BBL
In order to get approved for a BBL, you will need to have enough fat cells in other areas of your body so that they can be harvested, processed and injected into your buttocks. In general, Dr. Cortès prefers patients with a BMI of less than 30, but he will make exceptions on this requirement if you are leaner or have more body fat in certain areas of the body. On average Dr. Cortès likes his patients to have at least
When you’re doing a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), you want to make sure that the doctor is using the right amount of fat and that the fat is being injected into the right location.
The good news is that even skinny people can get BBLs! In fact, it’s not unusual for us to inject anywhere from 300 to 1,000 cc’s of fat per cheek in order to give someone a really nice, full result. The number one thing we look at is how much fat a patient has available to use.
In addition, we check the quality of the fat and make sure there are no blood vessels or nerves in it. The best patients are those who have minimal body fat. That way, we can take the maximum amount of fat from them and have high survival rates for those injections. It’s also important that you don’t gain weight after your surgery. This can cause complications with your BBL results, so you must maintain a stable weight.
Yes you can. You just need fat, which can be taken from anywhere on your body. The only question is if you have enough fat to result in the desired size.
The BBL is a transfer of your own body’s fat. It does not involve implants of any kind. Fat is harvested from one area, purified and then injected into the buttocks and hips.
Because it is your own tissue, there are no issues with rejection or other problems associated with other types of implants.
What Weight is Considered a Skinny BBL?

I asked this question to the doctors at my consultation appointment and the answer I got was “You are only considered skinny if you look like a skeleton”. I know that’s not very helpful because people have different definitions of what a skeleton looks like but I think it’s safe to say that if you are at least 120 pounds you won’t be considered “skinny”. If you are under 100 pounds, then consider gaining some weight before your BBL surgery.
If you have a skinny BBL, you might get a better result from the Brazilian butt lift if you gain a little bit of weight before surgery. The idea behind the BBL is to use fat taken from one part of your body (your abdomen, flanks, back or thighs) to plump up another part (the buttocks). If you don’t have enough fat to harvest and transfer, you may not get much of an improvement on your flat bottom.
Of course, gaining too much weight could put you at risk for complications during surgery. The ideal BMI for a BBL patient is between 18 and 25 — any higher than that, and it’s usually best to wait until your weight reaches a healthy level before having the procedure. This can help keep you safe during surgery and improve your chances of getting good results from your Brazilian butt lift.
We’ve found that many women who come in for BBL consultations are already at their ideal weight or are slightly overweight. In this case, we recommend going ahead with the procedure unless there’s something else in your health history that makes us uncomfortable proceeding with surgery.
I don’t think the weight matters, it’s more important to find a surgeon you feel comfortable with and one who will make sure your results are what you want. If you are considering a Brazilian Butt Lift, I would suggest you schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area.
The BBL is a statistic used to measure the size of a baseball bat. It is determined by subtracting the weight of the bat from the length of the bat and then multiplying that number by the diameter of the bat’s barrel. The higher the number, the larger the barrel.
The BBL is used to measure only wooden bats, as aluminum or composite bats have different manufacturing processes and standards.
The best way to determine if you need a tummy tuck is to have a consultation with an ABPS board certified plastic surgeon. My patients are very pleasantly surprised at how much skin removal can be done when they think it can’t or won’t be. There is so much variation in skin elasticity and the thickness of the skin that I never know how much skin removal is possible until I am in surgery and seeing it for myself. Sometimes it is more than my patients expect, sometimes less.
The tummy tuck does not make you lose weight. It removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightens the rectus muscles of the abdominal wall, but it does not remove fat from the thighs or buttocks. The results are usually permanent as long as your weight remains stable.
