Is 1 Syringe of Juvederm Enough for Lips?
No, I would recommend 2 to 3 syringes.
Botox is used to remove wrinkles and Juvederm is used to enhance the lips. Some people prefer a small amount of Botox in the lips to slightly decrease the muscle movement that causes lines in the lips.
Generally, 1 syringe of Juvederm will enhance your lips. However, if you want more enhancement, then you may need 2 syringes.
In general, 1 syringe of Juvederm is enough to produce a beautiful result. However, in some cases, more is needed.
Age may play a role in how much Juvederm is needed to achieve your desired results. Younger patients may need less than older patients. This is because the lips naturally lose volume with age. Therefore, younger people often need less product.
The thickness of the lips can also play a role. Some people are just born with thinner lips and need more product to achieve the same effect as someone with thicker lips.
If you are looking for a fuller look, you may need 2 syringes. However, it’s best to go slowly. It’s always better to start out conservatively at first and add more filler later if needed.
A: It all depends on the patient. For some, one syringe is enough if you are wanting a subtle result. For others, 2 or even 3 syringes may be needed for optimal results. Since Juvederm is a temporary filler, it’s best to start out with less than needed and gradually build up to the desired result over time. If you are getting your lips done for the first time, I would recommend starting with 1 syringe. You can always add more at a later time if you feel it’s needed. If your lips are already full and you want to maintain them, 1-1.5 syringes would work well.

I am an injector and I think that it depends on a few different things. If you want a lot of volume in your lips, then one syringe wouldn’t be enough but if you are looking for just a little bit of augmentation then 1 syringe would probably be fine. Also, some injectors are very conservative with their injections, so it would depend on who the injector is. One last thing to think about is that most people get swelling in their lips after injection, so you may look like you have more filler in your lips than what is actually there.
If you are going for a natural look, one syringe is usually enough. If you want a more pronounced look, then 2 syringes is the way to go. The problem with Juvederm is that it can be absorbed by the body in about 6 months.
Is 1 Syringe of Lip Filler a Lot?
The Juvederm Ultra XC is about 80% water and 20% hyaluronic acid. This means that a 1mL syringe is not a full amount to completely plump the lips. At my practice, I use at least 2 syringes in each treatment, sometimes 3 depending on how much volume the patient wants. So it really depends on how much you want to get done.
I have had 0.5ml before and was happy with the results but I’m feeling like I want more volume.

It depends on the doctor. It’s easy to get carried away with fillers, but if you go to a good doctor, it will be fine.
I had 1 syringe of juvederm voluma in my cheeks and I looked like a totally different person. When they did my lips, they only did 0.5.

It depends on how it was injected. Often, the lips are overfilled to compensate for product that is lost during injection. If you were injected directly in the lip and not started in the crease above your lip (the philtrum), then 1 syringe may have been appropriate. I would return to my doctor to discuss your issues.
