This is a very light serum that absorbs extremely fast into the skin, no gnawing feeling at all. I’ve been using this for about 2 weeks now and my skin is looking amazing! It’s never looked so good! I’m not saying it works overnight, but with patience and regular use of this serum (twice a day) the results are really really good.

I have sensitive skin so I was worried it might be too harsh for me, but it’s been great. No redness, tightness or breakouts.

I think it does what it says in the description. My skin looks brighter, more youthful and healthier!

I will definitely be purchasing this again when I run out of my current bottle 🙂

How to use:

Apply a few drops to fingertips and gently massage into face, neck, and décolleté. Allow to absorb before applying moisturizer.

If you want to add something extra to your skincare routine, then a vitamin C serum is a great step. Vitamin C is one of the most powerful ingredients for brightening, smoothing and firming skin, and can seriously improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Vitamin C helps to protect skin when applied topically, as well as when consumed in foods. It also helps to reduce inflammation, which can contribute to premature ageing.

Research has shown that vitamin C reduces photo-ageing caused by sun exposure. It works by slowing down the production of pigment, which causes dark spots and uneven tones. It’s also an antioxidant that protects our cells from damage caused by free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can lead to fine lines and wrinkles.

There are few ingredients that offer skin as many benefits as vitamin C. It’s a powerful antioxidant that can fight the effects of free radical damage and make your skin look younger and healthier. Serums are the best way to get a concentrated dose of vitamin C, since it’s unstable in its pure form and can easily oxidize.

The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%

This is a highly effective vitamin C serum, though it also has a couple of downsides. The first is that it’s very potent. If you’re not used to using a high concentration of vitamin C, start by applying the serum every other night to allow your skin to acclimate to the ingredient. It also has an oily texture that may not be for everyone.

One of the best ways to prevent wrinkles and dark spots is with vitamin C. When you’re shopping for a vitamin C serum, look for one that contains at least 10% of the vitamin, since that’s the amount most experts say is effective.

We researched serums with vitamin C and came up with this list of our favorites.

The best vitamin C serums have 10-15% concentration of vitamin C and will leave your skin healthier, smoother, and younger-looking.

So you’ve heard that vitamin C is a potent antioxidant and you’re convinced it’s the key to an effective anti-aging skincare routine. And yes, there are studies backing up the benefits of using a vitamin C serum. But there’s just one problem. There are so many types of Vitamin C products out there, how do you know which one is right for you?

The secret to choosing the right vitamin C serum is to look at the ingredients list and make sure that ascorbic acid and/or L-ascorbic acid (pure Vitamin C) constitutes about 10% of the formula — that’s the percentage proven to be most effective in clinical studies. Don’t bother with products containing derivatives like ascorbyl palmitate or magnesium ascorbyl phosphate unless they’re part of an integrated product line where each ingredient has been chosen for a specific purpose and tested in combination with others in the line. They don’t have all the benefits of pure Vitamin C and may even interfere with its absorption by your skin.

As you age, it’s likely that your skin will become a bit duller and more uneven in tone. This is because the body’s natural collagen production slows down with age. A low-grade inflammation that causes the skin to become discolored is also known to develop.

Vitamin C serums can help combat these issues, as well as protect against future damage from UV exposure. In general, vitamin C serums contain 10-20% concentrations of vitamin C and are slightly acidic, which allows the vitamin to penetrate your skin.

The most common products are serums, creams and lotions. The price of these products ranges from around $20 to $50, depending on the concentration of vitamin C in them. However, some dermatologists recommend higher concentrations of vitamin C for better results.

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic is a dermatologist-favorite for its potent antioxidant combination of 15% pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), 1% vitamin E (alpha tocopherol), and 0.5% ferulic acid, which helps to protect against environmental damage caused by free radicals that can contribute to atmospheric aging. The addition of ferulic acid doubles the already synergistic benefits of vitamins C and E, while augmenting their photoprotection.

This serum’s potent formula is ideal for those who are looking to diminish signs of aging and protect their complexion from environmental stressors. It helps prevent the formation of damaging free radicals triggered by UV, Ozone, and diesel engine exhaust by neutralizing them on the surface of the skin.

It also works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as brighten skin tone and improve overall texture by boosting collagen production.

The result is a dramatic improvement in multiple signs of aging, including loss of firmness and elasticity, uneven skin tone, roughness, and dullness

How to use: Apply four to five drops to a dry face, neck and chest each morning before applying sunscreen and makeup.

Sun exposure and environmental pollutants contribute to the degradation of collagen, which results in fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration. The good news is that topical vitamin C can help reverse some of the signs of aging caused by sun damage. There are many serums on the market that contain vitamin C, but some are more effective than others.

Ahead, we break down the differences between L-ascorbic acid and other derivatives of vitamin C and explain why you should seek out products with this particular ingredient. Then we share our favorite vitamin C serums for every budget so you can get glowing skin.
