Vascular Occlusion Lip Filler is a non-surgical treatment that uses natural ingredients to help you achieve fuller lips.
Vascular Occlusion Lip Filler is a natural and safe alternative to lip injections. The treatment combines hyaluronic acid with Vitamin E and other nutrients to plump up the appearance of lips without any injections or surgery. The process involves using an ultrasound wand to stimulate healing cells in the skin and increase blood flow to the area, which leads to increased collagen production and improved skin elasticity for a fuller, more youthful appearance.
How does Vascular Occlusion Lip Filler work?
The Vascular Occlusion Lip Filler procedure takes about 30 minutes, during which time an ultrasound wand is used on the desired area of your mouth. This induces healing cells in the dermis layer of your skin, causing them to multiply and produce more collagen fibers. As these fibers grow thicker, they pull away from each other, creating gaps between them that allow more blood vessels and capillaries to form — resulting in fuller lips.
Vascular Occlusion Lip Filler
Vascular Occlusion Lip Filler, also known as Vascular Lip Enhancement, is a lip treatment that uses a combination of filler and Botox to create fuller lips. The procedure can be done in the office, with numbing cream. After the injection of a topical anesthetic and a small amount of filler, we use microcannulas to place tiny sutures, or stitches, around the lip. These sutures are designed to block the flow of blood in the vessels near the surface of your lips. This prevents further bleeding during the procedure and creates a more natural appearance. The stitches dissolve on their own in about two weeks and there is no recovery time required after treatment.
This technique can be used on both lips together or individually. We may also combine this treatment with other procedures such as lip augmentation, lip lift or lip reduction to achieve your desired look
Vascular occlusion is a very popular procedure for lip augmentation and it involves the use of a filler to create fuller lips. The filler is injected into the blood vessels in the lips and blocks them from supplying blood to your lips. This makes your lips appear larger, fuller, and more youthful.
Vascular occlusion is a safe and effective technique for treating the signs of aging in the lips. It is an excellent alternative to surgery because it does not involve an incision or stitches, has minimal downtime and no visible scarring. It can be performed in less than 10 minutes with minimal discomfort, making it an ideal treatment option for all patients!
What Is Vascular Occlusion?
Vascular occlusion is a technique that uses hyaluronic acid fillers to block blood flow to your lips. This causes swelling in your lip tissue, making them appear fuller and more youthful! In order to get the best results, you should seek out a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in cosmetic procedures such as Vascular Occlusion Lip Augmentation (VOLLA injections).
Vascular occlusion is a procedure where the blood flow to a specific area of the face is reduced. The result is a treatment that can reduce the signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles.
During this process, a small amount of filler is injected into the upper lip. Because this area of the face doesn’t have as much blood flow as other areas, it takes longer for your body to break down the product and get rid of it. This helps your lips appear fuller, more youthful and supple.
The result? Your lips will feel great! The tingling sensation that some people experience during this treatment will subside after about 10 minutes or so.
How do I know if I have a vascular occlusion after lip filler?
If you have had a vascular occlusion after lip filler, you may experience the following symptoms:
Severe pain in your lips
Numbness or tingling in your lips
Lack of sensation in your lips
Blanching (turning pale) of the skin around your lips and cheeks
The skin on your face or body turning blue or purple, which is called cyanosis.
The most common side effects of lip filler are bruising, swelling and redness. However, vascular occlusions are a serious complication that can result in permanent loss of volume or even necrosis (death) of the injected tissue.
The treatment for vascular occlusions is removal of the injected filler and surgical repair of any damage done to the blood vessels. If removed early enough, there may be no long-term consequences for the patient.
In order to avoid vascular occlusions after lip filler, it’s important that you choose a board-certified dermatologist experienced with cosmetic procedures. Vascular occlusions are often caused by improper technique or equipment failure, so it’s important that your injector has experience working with fillers as well as an understanding of anatomy and physiology.
If you’re concerned about a possible vascular occlusion after lip filler treatment, contact your injector immediately.
If you have lip filler, you may have a vascular occlusion. This is when the vessel that was used to deliver the filler gets blocked and blood cannot flow through it. This will cause the tissue to become hard and swollen.
Signs of a vascular occlusion include:
- Swelling in the injected area, which may be more pronounced on one side than the other
- Hard, tender areas in the injection site (this can also occur if there is too much filler)
- Bruising or bleeding at the injection site
A vascular occlusion can occur after lip injections. This is when the blood vessels are blocked, cutting off the flow of blood to the area.
It’s important to know that there are other causes of this condition as well. If you notice swelling and bruising around your lips after receiving lip filler, it could be due to a bacterial infection or allergic reaction instead of a vascular occlusion.
Vascular occlusions usually cause swelling and bruising around the lips, which often resemble hives (raised red bumps) or small bruises. These symptoms typically develop within 24 hours of treatment, but they may not appear until several days later.
If you notice these symptoms after getting lip filler, contact your doctor immediately for evaluation and treatment options.
How long after lip filler can vascular occlusion happen?
Vascular occlusion is a rare complication of lip filler, but it can happen.
It’s important to note that vascular occlusion does not necessarily mean that your lips are going to fall off. It simply means that the blood supply to one or more areas of your lips has been compromised.
This can happen as a result of an infection, trauma (either accidental or surgical) or even as a side effect of lip filler itself.
According to the International Journal of Aesthetic and Restorative Surgery, vascular occlusion can occur anywhere from three days to six months after injection with hyaluronic acid-based fillers (like Juvederm). But let’s be honest: The chances of this happening are slim.
In fact, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), only 0.03 percent of all lip injections lead to vascular occlusion — which means that if you get a “before” and “after” shot done every day for a year, you’d still be more likely to win the lottery than have a problem with your lips!
The first thing that you need to know is that vascular occlusion is rare. It’s not something that happens frequently, but it is possible. Vascular occlusion occurs when a blood vessel becomes blocked and no longer allows blood to flow through. This can lead to tissue death if the blockage isn’t removed in a timely manner.
Vascular occlusion can occur after lip filler because of the nature of the procedure itself. During lip injections, the practitioner places lip filler into the patient’s lips with a syringe. When too much filler is used, it can get lodged in the blood vessels, causing them to become blocked. When this happens, it may take several weeks before they’re able to open again.
The best thing that you can do after having lip injections is rest and relax until your lips return to normal size and shape. If your lips are still swollen or painful after one week, then contact your doctor immediately for further instructions on what steps should be taken next
Vascular occlusion is a rare but serious complication of lip injections that can happen in the first few weeks after treatment, but sometimes as long as a month or more later.
Vascular occlusion is caused by cross-contamination of bacteria from one patient to another. This can happen if the practitioner does not use sterile equipment and/or does not wear gloves during the procedure. The contaminated equipment can then lead to infection and vascular occlusion of blood vessels in the face.
As a result, patients will experience pain, swelling and bruising around their lips. In some cases, the skin may become necrotic (dead) and fall off leaving a large open wound that needs further surgery to repair it properly.
If you are worried about vascular occlusion happening to you, please contact your practitioner immediately so they can help you with this problem
I am a lip filler patient, who had a great experience with Dr. Robert Ruiz. I have been getting my lips done for over 10 years and there are some things you should know before deciding on a doctor.
Dr. Robert Ruiz has been my doctor for over 5 years now and I’ve always been very happy with the results of my treatments. He takes his time to make sure everything is perfect and that you’re comfortable during the procedure. His staff is also amazing! They are always so helpful and kind when you call or need anything else from them.
I would highly recommend Dr. Ruiz if you’re looking for someone who will take their time with your procedure, create beautiful results and truly listen to what you want.
How do you fix vascular occlusion lip filler?
There are several things that can lead to vascular occlusion. The most common is dehydration. If you have not been drinking enough water, your lips may become dehydrated and develop what is called perioral dermatitis. This can cause them to look dry, wrinkly and flaky.
Another thing that can cause vascular occlusion is using lip products that contain ingredients that are not compatible with your skin type. Some examples of these ingredients are alcohols and menthols. If you believe this is the case for you, stop using these products immediately and try a different brand or formula (if there are any). You should also see your doctor if the problem persists after this step, as they may prescribe an anti-inflammatory medication or antibiotic cream to clear up the inflammation.
If none of these things work then it is possible that you have developed another condition such as rosacea or contact dermatitis from an ingredient in your lip product or even from one of your moisturizers or makeup products!
What is vascular occlusion lip filler?
Vascular occlusion lip filler, also known by its trade name Volbella®, is a type of filler made from hyaluronic acid. It works by adding volume to the lips and softening fine lines and wrinkles.
The procedure is similar to lip augmentation with injectable fillers, but instead of injecting the filler directly into the lips, it’s injected into tiny blood vessels that run just below the surface of the skin. The pressure from these injections causes temporary collapse of these vessels, which prevents blood from entering them. This results in fewer visible blood vessels in your lip area while you’re receiving treatment.
The procedure usually takes about an hour to complete and can be done under local anesthesia or sedation if desired.
After treatment, there may be some mild swelling or bruising around the injection sites for a day or two after treatment (this can be minimized with ice packs).
How common is vascular occlusion with lip filler?
The risk of vascular occlusion with lip filler is very low, but it does happen. I have seen several cases over the years, but I have to say that it’s still rare.
I would estimate that vascular occlusion occurs in less than 1% of patients who have lip injections. This means that if you see a hundred people treated for lip augmentation, only one will develop symptoms of vascular occlusion.
Luckily, there are some warning signs before this happens:
1) The area where the injection was administered becomes swollen, red and painful.
2) You can’t move your lips normally because they feel heavy and stiff and they don’t respond to your commands like they should do.
3) Your lips feel numb or numbness increases gradually over time. This can be a sign that circulation has been compromised in that area due to blockage of the circulation (vascular occlusion).
4) The area may look pale or white instead of its usual pink color (hypoxia).
How long after lip filler does necrosis occur?
How long after lip filler does necrosis occur?
I had my lips injected with Juvederm Ultra last week. On day 2 the right side of my upper lip hurt and itched. It’s been about 6 days now and the pain hasn’t gone away. However, I have noticed that there is a small lump on my upper lip. It’s not painful but it’s definitely there. I have tried to pop it but it won’t budge. I’m wondering if this is normal post filler reaction or something more serious?
I’m not sure what happened to my lips but they did swell up and look like they were bruised for about 3 weeks after the procedure (which is why I didn’t go back in to get them fixed). I also had some bruising inside my mouth where they injected me with lidocaine before putting in the filler. But no necrosis!
I’m hoping that’s all that happened to your lips too!
But if you are still having pain, go see a doctor so they can take a look at your mouth.
Vascular occlusion lip filler timeline
Vascular occlusion lip filler is a very popular procedure. It’s an effective way to soften the appearance of lines around the mouth and give you a fuller, more youthful look.
The results can last up to 6 months, depending on your skin type and the amount of filler used.
After Vascular Occlusion Lip Filler
Immediately after the procedure, your lips may be swollen and red for several hours or even days. You may also experience some minor bruising, which will fade within 3-5 days.
Common Side Effects
Some patients experience temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness or numbness at the injection sites that usually goes away within a few days after treatment. The numbness in particular can be alarming but it’s not harmful and should go away on its own within a few weeks. If you’re experiencing numbness that lasts longer than 3 weeks after injections, you should call our office so we can evaluate you further
How does vascular occlusion work?
Vascular occlusion is injected into the tissues under the skin of your lips, where it stays until it has been absorbed by your body. It’s not permanent, so you will need to keep getting top-ups every 12 months or so if you want to maintain your results.
How long does vascular occlusion last?
The results of vascular occlusion are permanent because the hyaluronic acid is injected into the dermis, which is the layer of skin below the epidermis. This means that even if your body metabolizes some of the hyaluronic acid over time, it will still remain in place in your lips, keeping them full and soft.
Although vascular occlusion lasts forever without any need for maintenance, you may want to consider having a touch-up procedure every year or two to keep your lips looking their best.
Vascular occlusion Lip filler treatment
Vascular occlusion Lip filler treatment Vascular occlusion is a technique used to treat lip lines and wrinkles. This treatment is meant to improve the appearance of your lips and give them a more youthful appearance. This procedure is performed by injecting a product into the lip area to improve the overall appearance of the lips.
The procedure works by closing up the blood vessels in the lips so that they are less visible. The injections are then placed into certain areas of your lips to create an even, natural look. The injection lasts for about six months, with results lasting up to one year after the treatment has been performed.
This procedure is usually done by a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon who will inject either Restylane or Juvederm into your lips. The product that you receive depends on what type of results you want from this procedure. It also depends on how much volume you need for your lips and how long you want it to last.
Some people choose this treatment because they want their lips to look as natural as possible. Others may want a more dramatic change or just want something new in their life that they can feel good about themselves with each day when they look in the mirror at their new smile!
vascular occlusion lip filler symptoms
Vascular occlusion lip filler symptoms When we talk about vascular occlusion of the lips, we are referring to a lip filler that does not go into the bloodstream. This means that it is not absorbed by the body and it stays in place until you remove it. The results are temporary since the substance will be absorbed by your body after some time.
The most common type of vascular occlusion lip filler is hyaluronic acid and this is also the most popular one in many parts of the world.
The main reason why this type is so popular is because it’s very safe and easy to use. It can be used by people who want to get rid of wrinkles or plump up their lips without having to worry about any side effects or complications afterwards.
Vascular occlusion lip filler symptoms There are many different types of vascular occlusion lip fillers on the market but they all have one thing in common – they don’t go into your bloodstream so they don’t cause any problems for your body or health in general. However, there are some things you should watch out for when using these products:
Swelling – Some people experience swelling after getting injected with a vascular

Lip injections are a popular procedure, but it can be scary to think about injecting yourself or someone you love with a needle. Here are some of the most common lip filler side effects and how to avoid them.
If you’ve ever had a bad reaction to an injection, you know how scary it is. You know the pain and swelling, and worst of all, you know that sometimes things can get worse. That’s why it’s important to understand what causes these problems and how to prevent them.
Lip Injection Side Effects
Some of the most common lip injection side effects include:
Bleeding: This is often caused by using too much pressure on the syringe when injecting the filler into your lips.
Bruising: Bruising is usually caused by overfilling your lips or not holding pressure on your lips after putting in the filler. Both bruising and bleeding usually go away within 24 hours if they aren’t severe enough. However, if there is blood visible under your skin when you press on it (known as subdermal bleeding), then you should consult with a doctor immediately because this could be an indication of something more serious like vessel rupture or other complications related to lip injections.
