This is how the draw for each group stage has been split up:
Where is the World Cup scheduled to be played in 2022?
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to be the 22nd FIFA World Cup, an international football tournament contested by the men’s national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to take place in Qatar in 2022, with an exact date yet to be decided. The bidding process for hosting rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup began in January 2019 and ended in February 2020.
The final tournament will involve 32 national teams, which include 31 teams determined through qualifying competitions and the automatically qualified host team. Of the 32 teams, 20 will be making back-to-back appearances following the last tournament in 2014, including defending champions Germany, while Iceland and Panama will both be making their first appearances at a FIFA World Cup.
Sixteen countries are scheduled to compete for the 2022 World Cup: Australia, China PR, India and New Zealand have all expressed interest in hosting some matches should their bid succeed but have not officially confirmed any such plans. Qatar has stated that it intends to use air-conditioning technology developed by German car manufacturer Porsche during its 2022 World Cup.
The World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar.
The tournament will take place from 21 November to 18 December 2022, with the final taking place in the stadium that has been planned for this purpose.
The 2022 World Cup was awarded to Qatar in 2010, as it won a vote over other countries that included Australia, Japan and South Korea.
Qatar’s bid included plans for air-conditioned stadiums and other infrastructure designed to combat the intense heat that can make life difficult for players and fans during the summer months.
It also promised a legacy of improved facilities for fans, including new transport links, hotels and stadiums across the country.
Where is FIFA World Cup 2022 hosted?
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the 22nd FIFA World Cup, an international football tournament contested by the men’s national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022.
The bidding process for the 2022 FIFA World Cup started in January 2009 when Qatar’s bid was officially revealed and ended in December 2010 with a visit by inspection team led by South African Cyril Dlamini. On 2 December 2010, Qatar won their bid to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup at the 68th FIFA Congress in Zürich, defeating bids from Australia, Japan and South Korea. The bidding process was marred by allegations of bribery and corruption, which were never proven.
Qatar is the smallest country ever to host a World Cup. The tournament will be held in eight cities: Al Rayyan Stadium (Al Rayyan), Al Wakrah Stadium (Al Wakrah), Khalifa International Stadium (Doha), Al Bayt Stadium (Umm Salal), Lusail Iconic Stadium (Lusail City), Al-Gharafa Sports Club Stadium (Al Khor City), Education City Stadium (Education City) and Ras Abu Aboud Stadium (Doha).

Qatar won the bid to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup in December 2010 and beat out competition from Australia, Japan, South Korea and the US to become the first Middle Eastern country to host a FIFA World Cup. Qatar’s win was surprising given that it had never qualified for a previous World Cup and its fierce summer heat (the average temperature in June is nearly 104 degrees Fahrenheit).
The 2022 tournament is expected to feature 48 teams — 16 more than the last two editions combined — but this has been met with some controversy due to Qatar’s hot summer weather. In response to concerns about player safety, FIFA announced in March 2017 that it would stage matches during European winter months instead of during the summer season when temperatures top 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 Celsius).

The bidding process for the 2022 World Cup began in January 2009 while still under investigation by FIFA’s Ethics Committee over allegations of bribery during the 2018/2022 FIFA presidential election. The process was suspended in October 2010 until December 2010 when it was confirmed that Qatar would host the event if they won their bid against Australia, Japan and South Korea. The award was made on 2 December 2010 at a meeting held in Zurich, Switzerland with Qatar being awarded the right to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup despite widespread criticism of FIFA’s decision due to concerns over human rights violations in Qatar and allegations of corruption surrounding its bid.
The hosts for the 2022 World Cup were announced by FIFA on 2 December 2010. Qatar beat out South Korea, Japan, Australia and the United States to host the tournament.
Qatar has never hosted an international football tournament before. The country hosted the 2007 Asian Cup but that was held in Doha, not the capital city of Doha.
The Middle Eastern nation is known for its warm climate, which will be ideal for playing football during the summer months. However, concerns have been raised about whether Qatar can provide sufficient accommodation for fans and players from around the world during the tournament.
FIFA president Sepp Blatter said he was “delighted” with Qatar’s victory, saying it would be an “exceptional event” for all involved. He added: “Football is more than just a game; it unites people all over the world.”

The tournament will be played in winter, due to the extreme heat in the summer months.
It is not unprecedented for a major football event to be held in the Middle East during winter. The 1982 World Cup was held in Spain, with matches played between 13 June and 11 July. The 1998 World Cup was also held in France during June and July.

The average temperature in Qatar during June-July is around 27C, but it can sometimes rise to 46C.
In October, FIFA president Gianni Infantino said he would like to see the tournament played in January and February instead of December and January, but said it would not be possible because of scheduling issues.

2030 – United States / Canada / Mexico

Four years later, Russia was named as hosts for the 2018 World Cup after Qatar had been stripped of hosting rights due to a corruption investigation into its bid processes conducted by US federal prosecutors which also implicated FIFA officials.
Why is the 2022 World Cup in November?

The decision was announced in September 2013, but it wasn’t until June 2015 that FIFA confirmed that November-December 2022 would be the dates for the competition. This was confirmed after FIFA’s Executive Committee met in Zurich.

Is the World Cup every 2 years or 4 years?
The World Cup is held every 4 years. It’s actually a bit confusing, because the event is called “FIFA World Cup” but it actually takes place every 2 years. FIFA is the international governing body of football and they oversee all of the games. They are responsible for making sure that everyone plays by the same rules and that everyone gets to play. Because there are so many different countries, languages and cultures involved in football, FIFA has to decide how often they will hold an international competition like the World Cup.
The first FIFA World Cup was held in 1930 in Uruguay. At that time there were only 13 teams who played in the tournament and only 3 of them were from outside Europe (USA, Brazil and Argentina). The winner of this first event was Argentina who defeated Uruguay 4-2 after extra time in front of 93,000 spectators at Estadio Centenario in Montevideo on July 30th 1930.
As more countries became interested in playing football, FIFA expanded their tournament to include more teams and eventually decided to hold it every four years instead of every two years as they had done before 1950 (when Brazil won their first title).
