NHL 23 has been confirmed, but there’s no word yet on when it will be released.
NHL 23 is the most recent iteration of the popular hockey video game franchise by EA Sports. The series was released in 2008, and since then has seen annual releases every year with a few exceptions. If you’re wondering whether NHL 23 will be made or not, the good news is that it’s already been confirmed by an EA Sports representative.
In an interview with Forbes contributor Paul Tassi, EA Sports’ vice president of communications Jeff Brown said: “We’re not done making NHL games.” He went on to say that they’re looking forward to bringing back the same quality gameplay and innovation that made NHL 18 so great.
However, as of right now there are no concrete details available regarding NHL 23’s release date or whether there will be any new features added to the game.
Yes, it will be made.
NHL 23 is the next iteration of the NHL series and it’s going to be released on September 9th, 2012.
The game will include all of the features that were in NHL 12 and 13, as well as some additional ones.

The game’s “Be A Pro” mode also gets an overhaul that lets players experience the life of a pro hockey player from their draft year through retirement.
NHL 23 will be available on September 9, 2013. The game will cost $59.99. There are a few pre-order options, though.

Is NHL 23 on EA Play?
NHL 23 is not on EA Play this year.
EA SPORTS NHL is back with NHL 23 and it’s better than ever! With new features, modes, and gameplay, you’ll be able to play your way on all new consoles: PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
NHL® 19 will deliver more ways to play EA SPORTS Hockey League, the fan-favorite online team mode where you can compete with friends or players around the world in an immersive 3 vs 3 hockey experience. New features include World of CHEL where you can create and manage your own custom character and take them into the game; The Rookie Showcase where you’ll get a chance to play with some of the best young prospects in the game; The World Cup of Hockey where you can lace up for a tournament that mirrors that real thing; The Champions Channel bringing together past legends from different eras who will share their stories; Competitive Seasons which allows players to go head-to-head against each other; and more.
The answer is yes, NHL 23 is on EA Play. It was announced back in May, but there’s been no word on when it will be available. All we know is that it’s coming this year and that it will have a new mode called Draft Champions, which allows players to play through the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and draft players from each of the participating teams.
The game was previously known as NHL 14, but EA changed the name to NHL 15 to match the company’s other sports titles: Madden NFL 15 and FIFA 15. However, they plan to keep calling it NHL 16 next year because they’re using that number for their new Ignite engine.
Will NHL 23 ever come to PC?
There’s a good chance that NHL 23 will never come to PC. The game is currently only available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with no plans for a PC release in the future.
This isn’t because EA doesn’t want to bring NHL 23 to PC. It’s because of the “console transition.”
EA’s CFO Blake Jorgensen said during an earnings call that the console transition has been a “challenging” period for EA’s sports business. With the PS4 and Xbox One both launching in 2013, EA Sports’ development teams have spent their time focusing on those platforms instead of PC.
“The console transition has been a challenging one for us,” he said. “We haven’t yet seen an opportunity to bring any of our titles over to PC.”
This was not always the case with EA Sports‘ franchises. During E3 2014, EA announced that Madden NFL 15 would be coming to PC and would feature exclusive features like Ultimate Team Legends; this was something that had never been done before with Madden NFL games before.
Unfortunately, there are no plans for any other EA Sports games to come to PC anytime soon — including FIFA 16.
NHL 23 was released in September 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and One, and Wii U. The game featured new gameplay additions such as one-touch dekes, enhanced goalie intelligence and improved goalie controls.
The NHL series has been around since 1991 when it was called NHLPA Hockey ’93 on the Genesis. Since then it has been released on many consoles including Sega Saturn, Super Nintendo, PlayStation 2, GameCube, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Will NHL 23 have connected franchise?
NHL 23 will have a connected franchise. In fact, it’s the biggest feature of the game. It’s called “NHL Club” and it’s similar to FIFA’s Ultimate Team, Madden’s Connected Franchise, and NBA 2K’s MyGM mode.
NHL Club is pretty much what you would expect from an Ultimate Team-like mode: you take control of a team, manage your players and coaches, set up trades with other teams, and try to win the Stanley Cup (or any other trophy available in the game).
You start out with an expansion team that can only sign free agents or trade for players from other teams via waivers. But as you progress through seasons, you’ll have access to more options such as signing restricted free agents or trading for draft picks.
NHL 23 will not have a connected franchise mode. EA has said that the company is working on bringing back the popular mode for NHL 24, but that it won’t be ready in time for this year’s game.
“This year we weren’t able to get it done,” said Sean Ramjagsingh, producer on NHL 23, in an interview with Game Informer. “We’re actually working on it right now and hopefully it’ll be part of next year’s game.”
NHL fans will have to wait another season before they can play through a full season with their friends or family members online.

The game features a brand new engine that allows for better graphics and animations. There are also improvements to the game’s development team and scouting process. This allows players to make smarter decisions about which players to acquire through free agency or trades.
Is NHL 23 going to be on Xbox One?
NHL 23 is going to be on Xbox One. The game was announced at E3 2013 and is currently in development by EA Sports. The game is set to be released in fall of 2014, and will feature updated rosters, uniforms, arenas, and player likenesses.
The game will also include two new modes: NHL Moments Live and Hockey Ultimate Team. NHL Moments Live will allow users to create their own moments from past hockey games, while Hockey Ultimate Team will allow players to build their own team from scratch using a card system similar to the popular FIFA: Ultimate Team mode.

Is there any way to play NHL 22 on PC?
NHL 22 is a sports video game developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts. It is the latest installment in the National Hockey League video game series and features the rosters, venues, music and presentation style of the NHL’s 2015–16 season. It was released in North America on September 13, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in Europe on September 16, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
The game has a similar overall structure to its predecessors, but with several new features and improvements.
The most noticeable addition is “Threes”, a 3-on-3 arcade mode featuring simplified gameplay mechanics such as no icing or offsides
Other changes include tweaked goalies that are less effective at blocking shots but more effective at controlling rebounds; an overhauled menu system that replaces the traditional single-player season mode with an “Online Seasons” mode; a new “Be A Pro” mode called Live The Life; improved physics engine; enhanced goalie intelligence; an improved crowd system that reacts to player events; improved graphics engine, including support.
There are two ways to play NHL 22 on PC:
- You can play it through EA Access on Xbox One.
- You can buy the retail version and play it on your PC (but you’ll need a gamepad).
I don’t think so. You should just buy the game for PC. It’s unfortunate that the PC version isn’t available yet, but it will be soon.
If you’re looking for a replacement, I would recommend Rocket League. It’s free to play and offers a similar experience in terms of gameplay.
