Can You Put Normal Earrings in Cartilage?

Can You Put Normal Earrings in Cartilage
Can You Put Normal Earrings in Cartilage

I have normal earrings that I put in my lobe, but for some reason, when I try to put them in my cartilage, they don’t work. They have posts that go through the back of the earring and then curve inward so it stays on. Is there any way to make this work?

You have to be careful when putting earrings in cartilage piercings. The cartilage is tougher than the skin of a lobe, and needs a thicker gauge to accommodate it. If you put a normal earring in your cartilage piercing, it could be too thin to stay in place and will irritate the piercing. Cartilage piercings also take longer to heal, so you need to be extra careful about cleaning your piercing.

Regular earrings—including earstuds, which are the type of earring that has a post attached to a back that goes through the piercing—can be worn in cartilage piercings.

“Normal” refers to the style of earring and not the material. For example, you can wear sterling silver or gold earrings in cartilage piercings, but you should stay away from nickel-based earrings, as they may cause a reaction when worn in a healing piercing.

A cartilage piercing is a type of body modification that involves perforating cartilage for the purpose of wearing jewelry. Cartilage piercings take longer to heal than earlobe piercings and are more prone to infection. Several types of cartilage piercings exist, including helix piercings, industrial piercings, daith piercings, and tragus piercings.

Rotate the earring after you clean the piercing site. This helps keep the hole open while it heals.

You may find it easier to clean your piercing with a cotton ball or pad rather than a Q-tip because they are less likely to harm your healing skin.

You can buy sterile saline solution to clean your piercing with at drug stores as over-the-counter eye drops.

What Type of Earring Back is Best For Cartilage

I have a client who has really large ear lobes and wants to get the large-gauge cartilage piercings. I’ll be using the Neometal titanium hooks. What type of earring back is best for cartilage? Are there any issues with using rubber backs, or are they OK?

I asked Neometal about this, but they didn’t have any suggestions.

As mentioned, the best earring back for cartilage piercings is the screwed backing. Screwed fittings are suitable for most types of earrings, including stone studs and hoops. In addition to being great for cartilage piercings, they’re also ideal for nipple piercings.

Screwed backs are an excellent choice because they’re easy to put on, stay on securely and require little maintenance once in place.

The earring back is the part that holds the earring on the ear lobe. In an earlobe piercing, the earring back is a simple post that holds the post on the ear lobe. However, in cartilage piercings, it’s a little more complicated.

The first thing to realize is that cartilage is much less forgiving than skin, which means you can’t just push in a stud or hoop like you can in an ear lobe piercing. Instead, all cartilage jewelry uses some type of screw-type mechanism to hold them in place.

There are two basic types of screw mechanisms used for cartilage piercings: screws and threaded posts. Choosing between them depends on your comfort level and how often you plan to change out your jewelry.

Threaded Posts

Threaded posts are perhaps the most popular choice for cartilage jewelry. They are composed of two parts: a tiny post with threads and an attractively shaped front that has threads on one side to attach it to the post and grooves or holes to hold gemstones or other decorations. To put on this type of jewelry, you insert the post from behind your ear into your piercing hole, then screw on the front part until it’s tight against your skin. Screwing

Barbells and captive bead rings are the most preferred cartilage piercings.

The reason behind this is that, the two jewelry types are easy to clean, offer more room for swelling and are very convenient.

Another reason is that, barbells and captive bead rings do not come in contact with your earlobe. This makes them a good choice for those who want to be on the safe side when it comes to possible irritation from their earring backs.

Apart from being the most preferred cartilage piercing jewelry types, there are some other reasons why you should consider getting a barbell or captive bead ring for your cartilage piercing:

They are easy to insert and remove- unlike traditional earrings which require you to have a hole in your earlobe, barbells and captive bead rings don’t need any holes. You simply have to slide them into place. In other words, they are easy to insert and remove.

You can easily remove them when sleeping- since they do not need any holes on your earlobe as with traditional earrings, you can easily remove them when sleeping. This is because they won’t irritate you while asleep or even snag on your beddings.

They don’

Cartilage piercings are always the most difficult to heal. In cartilage piercings, the ear heals itself very slowly, so the wearer must be patient. The main reason for this is that blood flow to the cartilage is extremely poor compared to other areas of the body.

The following are some tips on how to fasten your cartilage earrings:

1.Keep it clean- The first thing you want to do after getting your cartilage pierced is to keep it clean. During the healing process, you’ll need to make sure that you wash it at least twice a day with antibacterial soap and warm water.

2.Use a high-quality material- To ensure that your piercing doesn’t get infected, make sure that the jewelry you use is made from high-quality materials. This will help reduce any irritation or inflammation that may occur during the healing process.

3.Don’t use plastic earring backs- Plastic earring backs can be irritating and cause infections because they trap bacteria inside them. If you have sensitive skin or eczema, avoid wearing them altogether!

4.Be careful when taking out your earrings- When removing your earrings, be careful not to pull too hard or twist them out of place while they

It depends on your earring. If it has a post that is thin, then any back will work. If the post is thicker and you have a hole on your cartilage, then I suggest using the screw-on backs (the ones used for earrings with an ear clip).

Cartilage piercings, such as the helix or tragus, are often more prone to swelling than a piercing in a fleshy part of the ear. Many people use titanium backs on cartilage piercings because they are less likely to cause irritation and infections….
