Evil Eye Nails

Evil Eye Nails; These evil eye nails are so easy to create, they only take minutes! You can use the same materials to create quite a few different nail designs, leaving you with your very own mini nail art kit.

Materials:

  • Blue glitter polish
  • Black polish
  • Clear top coat
  • A dotting tool or toothpick

Step 1: Paint your base coat. I like using a light blue for this. If you want it to be really sparkly, use a textured polish instead of a glitter one.

Step 2: Paint an upside down triangle in the center of each nail with black polish and a dotting tool or toothpick.

Step 3: Fill the triangle in to make a circle, then add some more black polish around the edge to exaggerate the size of the eye. Add two white dots for pupils and tiny black dots for irises.

The concept of the evil eye is, like many other superstitions, a matter of accepting that things happen for a reason. You can’t control everything, and there will always be people who wish you ill. The belief is that bad luck comes from the envious glances of others, and in order to deflect them and avert misfortune, you must wear or carry an evil eye charm.

This idea has been around for thousands of years, and today it’s more popular than ever with modern updates. If you’re looking for a new manicure trend to try out next time you get your nails done, consider the evil eye nail art design. It’s one of our favorite fashion trends this fall thanks to its versatility and simple yet striking look. The best part? It’s easy to do at home!

How to Apply Evil Eye Nail Art

Step 1: Prep Your Nails

Start by prepping your nails like you would normally: push back cuticles, file and shape them into your desired style (round-edged square or oval are both good options here). Next, clean them with soap and water or nail polish remover before applying a base coat. This helps ensure that all dirt is removed from underneath the skin so it doesn’t affect how well your

I’m obsessed with the evil eye. It’s a symbol of protection and luck, and I have it on everything. So I was completely inspired when I saw this manicure by Christina Rinaldi of NYC’s Vanity Projects. The evil eye manicure is so chic and chic and would look good with any color or pattern.

But you don’t have to be an amazing nail artist to get the look. Here are two ways to DIY your own evil eye nails!

Using Nail Polish

Step 1: Paint your nails a solid color, preferably black or a very dark color. Let dry completely before moving onto the next step.

Step 2: Using white polish, draw a circle in the middle of your nail, then add two dots for eyes on either side of the circle. Then add a smaller dot for the pupil in each eye and let dry completely before moving onto the final step.

Step 3: Add decorative details to give each eye some personality (eyelashes, lashes, etc.) and let dry completely before moving onto finishing touches!

OK, here is my evil eye nail art. I love this design because it combines individual water marbling with a simple print. It’s a perfect nail art for beginners who want to try something more advanced than just polishing their nails and adding a coat of topcoat.

I did a tutorial on how you can do the evil eye design yourself. The tutorial is in my native language (Czech), but the video contains subtitles in English and includes a detailed step-by-step description of all the steps needed to create this design.

The evil eye is a curse or legend believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when one is unaware. The evil eye is a popular belief that somebody can voluntarily or involuntarily bring disease and disgrace to another person by looking at them, usually brought on by envy.

The evil eye has been described as “the sum of all the envy in the world”, but also as “the most powerful protective force” and “a benevolent gesture of care”.

According to the most common belief, the evil eye brings bad luck or injury to another without any intention. This can happen when someone compliments you, your child, your pet or anything else you consider special. In order to remove an evil eye it takes many days of prayer and fasting and nights of constant battle with the unseen.

People use evil eye to protect themselves from harm caused by the envious glances of others. Many cultures believe that receiving the evil eye will cause misfortune or injury, while others believe it to be a kind of supernatural force that casts or reflects a malevolent gaze back-upon those who wish harm upon others (especially innocents).

Recently, I decided to go for a manicure. I chose a nail color and the technician proceeded with the job. As she finished, she asked me if I wanted an “evil eye” on my nails, to which I said no. She then suggested that it would bring me good luck and asked me to reconsider.

I was intrigued by this concept and asked her where the idea comes from. The answer was rather vague; she mentioned something about energy and protection. But as I walked out of the salon wondering why someone would want to put an evil eye on their own nails, I started to think more deeply about this practice.

Well, I can’t think of a reason why you would want to because it’s pretty darn ugly, but technically you can do anything with your nails. Will an evil eye protect you from others’ envy? Probably not.

Treatment

The first line of treatment for an ingrown nail is to soak the toe in warm water and then gently pull up the corner of the ingrown nail, or pry it away from the skin with a cotton swab.

Removing the offending part of the nail can also help relieve pain and heal the area, according to WebMD. The doctor will use a probe or scissors to remove a section of the nail. They may use chemicals or lasers to kill the root.

Orthotics

If someone develops an ingrown nail after wearing ill-fitting shoes, it can be helpful to wear orthotics, which are custom-made shoe inserts that help redistribute weight evenly over the feet and correct abnormal foot functions.

It’s very easy to do the evil eye. First, you need to paint your nails with a white nail polish. Then, you will make a dot in the middle of each nail. The next step is to draw a black circle around the dot you just made. It should be big enough that the black circle almost touches the cuticle of your nail. For the next step, you will draw another smaller circle inside the black circle. The small circle should be pink, and it should touch both sides of the larger black circle so that it looks like an eye. The outer edges of the large circle should be left completely black. Now it is time to finish off your eyes. You will want to draw two small white dots inside the pink circle. These are your eyes, and they should be very close together but also touching both sides of the pink circle so that there is no open space between them. Finally, once you have finished all ten fingers (or more if you have more than ten nails), wait for about 10 minutes before applying a clear topcoat over everything else. This will protect your design from chipping or peeling off too soon so that others can admire your work!

For those of you who are not familiar with the evil eye, it is a curse that is supposed to be cast by a malicious glare, usually given to a person when they are unaware. The effect of the curse is that the person receives nothing but bad luck and that their life will always be difficult.

For instance, if somebody is casting an evil eye on your business, then nothing would work out for you. Your employees might be lazy and unproductive, your sales would go down and your profits would start decreasing.

You can protect yourself from this evil eye by hanging an evil eye bead on the wall behind your desk or even in your office. This bead will protect you from all kinds of negative energies and you will keep getting good luck.

The phrase has entered common English usage within the last century; before then it appeared in English only as an idiomatic expression and usually with the intended meaning of an envious or jealous person looking at another with ill-will.[1]

To recreate the look, start by painting your nails with a base coat. Add two coats of a pretty pink polish (like Essie’s Ballet Slippers) to all of your nails except for one. For that nail, paint on a white base coat, followed by nautical blue stripes and black dots. If you’re feeling creative, you can add on other embellishments like tiny jewels or bright rhinestones. When your final accent nail is dry, swipe on a top coat to seal in the design, and you’re ready to go.
